
Latrice J Phillipus, pen name Ella, is a young adult and realistic fiction writer, emerging editor and blogger. Born in New York City, she was raised in St. Croix of the US Virgin Islands (where her family originates) and resided there until high school. Back in New York, she has obtained an Associate of Arts from Bronx Community College, Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from Berkeley College, and a Master of Arts in English and Creative Writing from Southern New Hampshire University. More recently, she is a Master of Science graduate in Childhood and Special Education- Grades 1-6 from Touro University. Latrice has been writing since elementary, including journaling, short stories and poetry. She has written and published three short stories, At the Beginning, A Latte to Go, and The Black Rectangle, featured on The Daily Ella, and is working on her first novel, Best Regards, April for publication soon. She hopes to expand her soon-to-be published literary journal, Write in August into a creative writing program for the youth in her community.
Latrice lives in New York City with her feline, Jean Grey.
